Adriane Yamin 55, who maintained a relationship with the pilot Ayrton Senna (1960-1994), recalled how the couple broke up. At the time they started dating, she was 15 years old and the pilot was 24.
In an interview on Monday (9) for the podcast Antonia Fontenelle, Adriane said that Ayrton Senna started dating Xuxa shortly after breaking up with her. The pilot made the decision after recording a special with the presenter.
“He said to me: ‘Adriane, I’m very confused, I’m going to need some time’, and I said to him: ‘What do you mean? You just came out to the world and asked me for a break.’ And he turned around and said: ‘I’m sorry, but I don’t have any more time. If you have any questions, then we’ll end it here.’ He got up and left,” he said.
Shortly afterwards, she found out about her ex-boyfriend’s involvement with Xuxa. “And then my sister came to tell me that she heard a buzz saying that she found out that Ayrton sent his plane to pick up Xuxa… As a result, I got very confused and went to talk to his mother”, she recalled.
Adriane Yamin had traveled with the pilot to France, in November, and said that the breakup happened in December. The relationship was kept secret, as Adriane was a minor in the first years of their relationship.
“Senna knew that what he was doing wasn’t pretty, he didn’t want to expose what he was doing. The person who assumed the relationship to the media, and exposed it, and wanted to plant the flag, was Xuxa! Until then he was swinging like that…”, he added.
The pilot’s ex-girlfriend also revealed what upset her most after her four-year relationship with Ayrton, when she had already reached the age of majority.
“I think that’s what made me sicker, having reached the final stretch and not being able to enjoy life with him. We enjoyed it at my house, always with people around. us couldn’t be intimate together I couldn’t hold hands… It made me nervous, I said ‘one day we’ll be able to enjoy it together’ and when that happened, he wanted to stop and think”, he concluded.
