An Azul plane made an emergency landing, last Sunday (28), in Aracaju (SE), after the emergency light was activated. According to the airline, the descent took place safely and customers disembarked normally.
The pilot informed the Traffic Control Tower that the light indicated a possible fire inside the aircraft, according to the Sergipe Military Fire Department (CBMSE) in a note. Flight AD9003 leaving Fortaleza and heading to Viracopos Airport, in Campinas, had 170 passengers on board.
The Fire Department's Fire Department (SCI/SBAR) was called at Santa Maria International Airport, in Aracaju, and confirmed that the emergency light came on without there being a fire.
In a statement, Azul informed that customers received assistance and have already been reaccommodated on another company flight to São Paulo. The airline also regretted any inconvenience and said it is reinforcing actions to ensure the safety of its operations.
