B3 released this Thursday (17) the trading calendar for 2023. For the second consecutive year, on public holidays in the city of São Paulo, headquarters of the Exchange, there will be normal trading for variable income markets, including stocks, funds real estate, ETFs, BDRs, derivatives, private fixed income and fixed income ETF.
In 2023, on municipal holidays in January 25th (Wednesday) and November 20th (Monday) the only ones that fall on business days, trading, registration, clearing, settlement, movement of collateral and centralized deposit in all B3 segments continue to function normally, according to a press release.
The Exchange also informed how the market will work on February 22, 2023, Ash Wednesday. There will be a continuous trading session for variable income assets from 1:00 pm to 5:55 pm, with pre-opening from 12:45 pm to 1:00 pm. For financial and commodity derivatives, the trading session will open at 1:00 pm (with pre-opening from 12:55 pm to 1:00 pm). The organized over-the-counter market will operate from 1:00 pm to 5:55 pm, with a closing call for all assets from 5:55 pm to 6:00 pm.
“We have operations originating from all parts of the country and an important volume of negotiations carried out by foreign investors. So we opted to include only national holidays in our calendar”, says Thiago Ferraz, trading superintendent at B3.
