B3 excluded Positivo shares from the first theoretical portfolio of the Bovespa Index valid for the period between January and April 2023 released this Thursday (1st). There was no inclusion of any stock, and as a result, the Ibovespa now has 91 stocks.
The exit of Positivo from the index was already expected by the market. In a recent report, XP already spoke of the high probability that the technology company’s share would leave the portfolio, since the Tradability Index (IN) of the share exceeded the 90% limit by a wide margin in the brokerage simulations.
The greatest weight in the index remains with Vale, with a share of 15.384%, an even larger share than the current 14.194%. Itaú Unibanco PN increased its share in the index from the current 5.992% to 6.133%, occupying the position of second most weighted share in the index.
In the sequence, Petrobras PN appears with a weight of 5.984%, less than the 7.343% currently maintained. Petrobras ON, in turn, increased its weight to 5.230%, compared to 4.829% of the current portfolio.
Bradesco PN (3.949%), Eletrobras ON (3.846%), B3 (3.693%) and Ambev (3.406%) are also included in the list of main weights on the Ibovespa.
B3 regularly publishes three previews of the new compositions of the indices: the 1st preview, in the first trading session of the last month of validity of the current portfolio; the 2nd preview, on the trading session following the 15th day of the last month of validity of the current portfolio, and the 3rd preview, on the penultimate trading session of the current portfolio.
