A 1-year-and-9-month-old baby died after being run over inside the garage of the building where she lived, in the city of Indaial, in Santa Catarina. The accident happened late in the afternoon of this Friday (6).
According to the Fire Department, a fire department aircraft was called to rescue the child, but the victim was found by the teams with no vital signs. She had suffered head trauma.
According to reports from residents, Olívia Milbratz Thiesen was accidentally run over after running towards the vehicle.
The school attended by the girl released a death notice on social media, in which it laments what happened.
“We stand in solidarity and united with the family at this time of irreparable loss. We believe that everyone in the Bom Pastor Family shares the same feeling of pain,” the statement said.
Olivia’s older sister and two cousins also attend the same school. According to the publication, the baby was considered the most independent in the class, as she had the habit of grabbing her backpack and running into the school ahead of her relatives.
