“Baby Reindeer” a miniseries released on April 11 this year, has already entered the list of the most watched English-language series in Netflix history . According to the platform, in exactly two months on air, production accumulated 84.5 million views.
The series follows the relationship between a comedian, played by Richard Gadd, and a woman (Martha) who becomes obsessed with him after a gesture of sympathy from him. What impressed the audience most is that The plot and outcome of the story are inspired by the protagonist’s real and personal story.
“Baby Rena” occupies 10th position in the ranking. Other productions that make the list are “Wandinha”, “O Gambito da Rainha” and seasons of “Bridgerton” and “Stranger Things”.

Lawsuit faced by Netflix
A Scottish woman who claims to be the “real-life Martha” is suing Netflix for $170 million for mental anguish, loss of enjoyment in life and loss of business,” according to a complaint filed with District Court for the Central District of California.
Netflix, in turn, said it will contest the woman’s action. In a statement to CNN International a Netflix spokesperson said, “We intend to defend this matter vigorously and defend Richard Gadd’s right to tell his story.”
Through the series, Gadd alleges that the woman who pursued him for years even ordered 41,071 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, 106 pages of letters, 744 tweets and 46 Facebook messages.
