THE erotic thriller starring Nicole Kidman, “Babygirl”, has its first official trailer . The film from studio A24 is directed by Halina Reijn, director of the horror film “Morte Morte Morte” (“Bodies Bodies Bodies”, in the original version).
Harris Dickinson will also star in the film, as well as other confirmed cast members such as Antonio Banderas, Sophie Wilde and Jean Reno in supporting roles.
In an interview with Vanity Fair, Kidman said this is the “boldest” film she has ever made: “I’ve done some pretty revealing films, but none like this.”
This will be the second feature film directed by Halina Reijn, who is also responsible for the script.
The plot should feature a successful businesswoman (Kidman) who starts an affair with an intern (Dickinson), younger than her, in the workplace. The production must explore dynamics of power and sensuality in professional spaces.
Banderas will play Kidman’s character’s husband, while Sophie Wilde (“Talk to Me”) will play the assistant who observes the case. Reno (“The Big Blue”) will play a rival executive.
The film is scheduled to be released in US cinemas around Christmas this year, with no expected arrival date in Brazil yet.
