The boy band Backstreet Boys released, on Wednesday (13), four videos with live performances of songs that make up their first Christmas-themed album, “A Very Backstreet Christmas”.
The songs “Silent Night” (“Happy Night”, in the Portuguese version), “The Christmas Song”, “I’ll Be Home For Christmas” and “Happy Days” won music videos.
“A Very Backstreet Christmas” is a typical Christmas album in which ten re-recordings of true classic Christmas hits, such as “Silent Night”, mix with three new songs themed by the band.
Nick Carter, AJ McLean, Howie D, Kevin Richardson and Brian Littrell released the album in October and it managed to reach the top of the Billboard Top Holiday Albums, a chart created annually that measures the success of Christmas songs between October and January.
The Backstreet Boys follow the path paved by countless pop divas, such as the queen of Christmas Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Ariana Grande and Christina Aguilera, who have hits recorded especially for this time of year.
