Bad weather “hits” Milan – Streets were flooded and the level of the Seveso river rose

Bad weather has been affecting the city of Milan since yesterday, Tuesday, evening. Due to the incessant rain across the Italian capital, streets were flooded and curfews were imposed. The firefighters were called to carry out a series of operations, in the context of which they also helped a woman with special needs, who was trapped in her home. Due to the rain, buses and trams changed their routes and metro line 2 was temporarily suspended. At the same time, a special, large reservoir was opened, with the aim of reducing the water level of the Seveso River, so that well-known important areas of the city, such as Niguarda, would not be flooded. City officials advise citizens to exercise caution when traveling, especially when using uneven, flooded walkways. Source: RES
