BAE Systems: Maintains estimates for 2021

BAE Systems maintains the estimates for the whole year and emphasizes that the conduit of its opportunities is strong.

The British defense company stressed that it has mitigated and managed the pressures on the supply chains and therefore has so far avoided any significant impact.

She added that her portfolio is in the right position to take advantage of increased defense spending for the Asia-Pacific region through its operations in Australia, and that recent announcements about AUKUS have been strategically important to the company.

In July, the company expected sales to increase by 3% -5% in 2021, based on the strong exchange rate of sterling against the dollar.

The company reported sales of 20.86 billion pounds ($ 28.15 billion) in 2020.

It expects the underlying profits before taxes and interest to increase by 6% -8%, while in 2020 BAE announced entities under EBIT of 2.04 billion pounds.

“Demand for our capabilities remains high and we have a strong pipeline of opportunities for our broad geographic portfolio,” said CEO Charles Woodburn.
