Oscar is located approximately 265 kilometers from the Bahamas and about 756 kilometers from the city of Camaguey, Cuba, with winds of 129 kilometers per hour, according to the US National Hurricane Center.
The Cuban government issued a hurricane warning for the cities of Guantánamo, Holguin and Las Tunas.
Heavy rain is forecast in the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeastern Bahamas later this Saturday. Eastern Cuba is expected to be hit on Sunday (20), according to the latest statement.
