On the afternoon of Monday (31), the driver of a vehicle was approached by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) at km 677 of BR-116, in Jequié, Bahia. The man, who was not named, tried to dodge a blitz, but was reached by the agents .
During the approach, police found 15 kg of cocaine and ammunition inside the car.
The PRF’s Tactical Patrol (GTP) group (GTP) spotted the vehicle entering a gas station, apparently with the intention of avoiding inspection, which generated distrust of the police. After following the vehicle, the team decided to take the approach.
In the survey, the police also located 22 ammunition of varying calibers.
According to the PRF, the suspect claimed not to know the origin of the drug, but ended up contradicting during the investigation. The man was arrested in the act and taken to the Jequié police station.
