The Bahia police identified those suspected of having killed the brothers Gustavo Natividade, 15 years old, and Daniel Natividade dos Santos, 24, who were percussionists from the Afro group Malê Debalê. They were killed on October 7 in Camaçari (BA), in the metropolitan region of Salvador.
According to the Public Security Secretariat (SSP), rounds are being carried out this Friday (11) to locate and capture those involved in the crime.
Also according to the SSP, images from cameras in the region and testimonies from witnesses helped the Civil and Military police teams in identifying the perpetrators of the firearm shots.
THE CNN witnesses reported that two men on a motorcycle, accompanied by a car, approached the young people and shot at them.
The percussionists of the Afro block Malê Debalê, considered the greatest Afro ballet in the world, were gathered on a tour at Emissário de Arembepe, in Camaçari, when the double murder occurred.
The police emphasize that information about criminals can be sent, in complete secrecy, via telephone 181, on the Public Security Secretariat’s Hotline. The call is free.
Malê Debalê was founded 45 years ago, in the Itapuã neighborhood, in Salvador, where the musicians lived. The association published a note of repudiation and regret over the death of the young people, who were on an excursion.
