A woman who works as “Bahian receptive” denounced that it was unfairly accused of theft by an Argentine tourist Last Friday (28) at Praia do Forte, in Mata de São João, Salvador Metropolitan Region, Bahia.
Jucione Manuelle works dressed in colorful dresses typical of Bahian culture and poses for photos with tourists.
According to the report of Jucioe, the accusation occurred shortly after she posed for photos with the couple of Argentine tourists. The tourist then realized the absence of her wallet and accused Jucioe of having stolen her.
The victim reports being forced to take off her clothes, including Bahian’s typical costume to prove her innocence. “I had to take my clothes all over to show that there was nothing,” said Jucione.
A security camera recorded the moment when he joins, under the tourist’s insistence, he removes his clothes inside a store to prove that he had not stolen anything. See below:
Shortly thereafter, Argentina’s wallet was found in a store she had visited earlier. However, it did not minimize the trauma and indignation of Jucione, who felt deeply offended and discriminated against.
The situation worsened when the tourist, amid shouts and accusations, would have stated that a local store employee reported that “all receptive baianas are thieves.”
Jucione vented about the humiliation and racism he believes he suffered. “I’m black, I’m a Bahian without a brake, but I’m not a thief. I’ve never got anything from anyone and I don’t have a police pass,” he said. She also highlighted the pain of being forced to undress in public to prove her innocence.
The Bahian reported that the husband of the Argentine tourist tried to bribe her with $ 250, and a friend of the couple asked her not to take the case ahead. The woman and a witness went to the police station with the Argentine couple to register a police report.
The Civil Police registered a detailed term of occurrence (TCO) against the 53 -year -old Argentine tourist on suspicion of slander. The case is being investigated by the Praia do Forte Environmental Protection Police Station.
