The São Paulo Civil Defense issued a warning for rain showers in several areas of the state, between today (25) and Saturday (27). The region of greatest attention is Baixada Santista, which can receive accumulations of up to 220 millimeters of rain.
In São Sebastião, site of the rain tragedy in February last year, the landslide warning sirens sounded on Wednesday night (24).
In addition to Baixada Santista, classified as red alert, the Vale do Ribeira region also pays extra attention to rainfall, with accumulations that can reach 180 millimeters.
The north coast is on orange alert and could receive a volume of 150 millimeters. Other regions that are in this state of attention are: Itapeva and Sorocaba (100 millimeters) and Vale do Paraíba (80 millimeters).
The Campinas region is forecast to receive rainfall of up to 60 millimeters, and the metropolitan region of São Paulo is forecast to receive up to 70 millimeters.

Inmet
In addition to Baixada Santista, Inmet (National Institute of Meteorology) issued a red alert for other regions of Brazil due to the rain: large accumulations may occur on the north coast of Santa Catarina, the coast of Paraná and the metropolitan region of Curitiba.
