Balenciaga, return to the past with The Lost Tape

Balenciaga looks to the future and the past together. A journey that is condensed into the new one Fall 2022 collection, The Lost Tape. A title as evocative as the video of its presentation. A sort of old damaged VHS, which shows the images of a fashion that was, and which today returns under the creative vision of Demna, creative director of the maison since 2015.

The film, directed by Harmony Korine, allows you to get behind the scenes of the fashion show by making people and pieces of fashion history of the late nineties re-emerge. An era in which style was fueled by crude, anti-fashion ideas, deconstruction and monochromatic minimalism.

Here everything is redesigned, recreated, reinterpreted, taken to new limits. Including iconic pieces, re-imagined for a new and contemporary comfort. All more and more green. In fact, the brand’s commitment to responsible production continues, represented this season with 89.6% of certified materials, as well as pieces of leather upcycled used for garments and accessories.
