In addition to Nubank, Banco do Brasil (BB) customers are posting reports of problems with the bank’s services on social media this Friday (4). The most common problems pointed out by account holders range from difficulty making transfers, logging into the application and accessing the bank over the internet.
On social media, an account holder posted: “Guys, the Banco do Brasil app is down, I’m desperate, I need to pay the bill, make a pix, see if I received money!” Another account holder comments on Twitter: “Banco do Brasil is down. I can’t make a pix, my salary account balance is simply GONE. Credit card, nothing works”

The website Downdetector, which monitors this type of problem, shows that notifications of problems peaked at 2 pm, reaching almost 550. Then they started to fall and were around 150 to 17 pm.
According to BB, the bank identified that a firmware update caused a problem throughout the day, making it difficult to access its application. “BB is working to get the application back to normal operation. BB emphasizes that there will be no harm to its customers and has kept the other service channels available.
It’s been a rough week for banks’ digital services. First it was Itaú Unibanco, which even stopped in the trending topics on Twitter because of the complaints. Now, Nubank and Banco do Brasil.
Through its press office, Nubank reported that it “regrets the fluctuations identified by a portion” of customers in some services today. “We inform you that operations are being gradually normalized and our systems are 100% secure. Visualization and availability of some features were impacted. The integrity of all information is guaranteed.
