The official notification for the countrywide curfew will be issued soon, clarified Najimul Islam Khan. Riots in Bangladesh have killed 39 people in 48 hours, including 32 on Thursday alone, according to an AFP tally based on reports from hospitals in the country. Independent Television reported today that 702 people were injured in clashes between police and student protesters in 26 of the Southeast Asian country’s 64 provinces, including at least 104 police officers and 30 journalists.
