Bangladesh: episodes in party gathering, reports of at least 4 dead

Bloody riots today broke out at a rally by the NCP Party (National Citizen Party) in the city of Gopalganz, South Banglades, where there are reports of at least four deaths. Due to the long -term protests last summer, then Prime Minister Sheikh Hassina was forced to abandon power in August and flee to India. Since then, in Bangladesh there has been a political divide, and protests have been growing about the announced reforms. Nobel -award -winning Irene Muhammad Juni, who took over as head of the interim government, said in a post on the X platform that NCP members, police and journalists were attacked during a peaceful rally. Junon spoke of a “shameful violation of fundamental rights” of young people who participated in a peaceful rally to honor the anniversary of one year of their revolutionary movement.
