A Bank of America survey of fund managers found that bitcoin is now receiving more capital than other investment assets.
A Bank of America study published by Reuters shows the growing popularity of BTC as an investment asset. According to the survey, the interest of investors in bitcoin has exceeded the interest of large tech companies – there is a greater inflow of capital into the cryptocurrency.
For the first time since October, tech companies have ceased to be the most popular investment asset. According to research, bets against the US dollar (dollar short positions) are now the third most popular trade.
Other research details suggest that cryptocurrency’s role as a hedge against inflation may increase in the near future.
“Inflation expectations are at an all-time high: A record 92% of investors, according to the BofA Fund Manager Survey, expect higher inflation in the next 12 months.” wrote
Macroanalyst Holger Zschaepitz on Twitter.
Institutional investor interest in bitcoin has continued to grow over the past year. Grayscale Investments recently announced that it raised $ 3.3 billion in cryptocurrency funds in Q4 2020.
