In 2024, banks were 1.3 times more likely to send reports about cryptocurrency operations than a year earlier. This was stated by the head of the department of supervisory activities of Rosfinmonitoring Maria Shcherbakova at the conference of the Association of Regional Banks. According to her, the perimeter of the participants passing such messages by code 1190 also expanded – 1.6 times, writes RBC Crypto.
Shcherbakova emphasized that it was P2P transaction between bank accounts (that is, direct transfers from one user to another) are increasingly used precisely to exchange fiat money for cryptocurrency. The agency recommends paying increased attention to cryptocoplase – that is, the identification of operations that are potential assets.
Banks, according to her, can use any available tools: methodological recommendations for the analysis of transactional activity, open sources, as well as Internet monetering to identify the references to bank details in the context of transactions with cryptocurrencies.
One of the tools should be a “transparent blockchain” – a domestic service for the analysis of cryptocurrency transactions. According to Shcherbakova, the system now passes the third stage of the pilot project, in which the five largest Russian banks participate. Within the framework of testing, the functions of tracking transactions, scoring estimates of cryptocurns, building schemes and, most importantly, comparison of fiat and cryptocurrency circuits are worked out.
The introduction of a “transparent blockchain” is scheduled to the personal offices of banks until the end of 2025. According to the results of the pilot, Rosfinmonitoring expects to increase the efficiency of using the service and determine the directions of its further development.
In February, Rosfinmonitoring Deputy Director Anton Lisitsyn told RBC that more than 12 thousand users were connected to the service – these are law enforcement officers and foreign anti -wir intelligence units, for example, in the CIS countries.
In its reports on financial stability, the Bank of Russia relies on the data of a “transparent blockchain”, evaluating the volume of tributaries and outflow of funds of Russian users of the largest crypto -streaks.
These tributaries and outflows can be associated with payment of goods and services, transferring cryptocurrency to exchanges for the purpose of sales, transferring funds between users, with the withdrawal of cryptocurrencies to a decentralized wallet after its acquisition on the P2P market and other goals.
Bing, Bitmart, Bitrue, BKEX, BTCEX, COINW, COINBASE, PHEMEX, PrOBIT, Whitebit, Exmo and Garantex.
