After remaining closed during the Carnival period, bank branches resume their activities this Wednesday (2) from 12:00 pm, local time, with closing at normal closing hours.
According to the Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban), in locations where branches normally close before 3 pm, the start of service to the public will be anticipated, in order to guarantee a minimum of three hours of operation.
In a note, the entity recalls that consumption bills, such as water, energy, telephone, and payment books due on February 28 and March 1, can be paid, without addition, this Wednesday.
Bank slips from customers registered as electronic drawees can be paid via Authorized Direct Debit (DDA).
Even with the return, Febraban guides customers to use digital channels, such as websites and bank application, for making transfers and paying bills on days when there are no banking hours at the branches.
