Banks work normally on Monday (14), but close on Tuesday (15)

The Brazilian Federation of Banks (Febraban) reported that there will be no service at bank branches on the Day of the Proclamation of the Republic, celebrated on November 15, this Tuesday.

But the Federation points out that there are normal working hours on November 14 (Monday) and November 16 (Wednesday), in locations that do not have municipal holidays.

Anyone who needs to carry out a banking operation can use the self-service areas of bank branches as well as the digital and remote channels of banks (internet and mobile banking). Consumption bills (water, energy, telephone, etc.) and bills due on the day of the holiday may be paid, without additional charges, on the next business day.

According to the assistant director of Services at Febraban, Walter Tadeu de Faria, normally the taxes already come with dates adjusted to the calendar of national, state and municipal holidays.

“If this has not occurred in the collection document, the suggestion is to advance payment or, in the case of barcode securities, schedule payment at ATMs, internet banking and by phone service from banks”, guides Faria.

Bank slips from customers registered as electronic drawers can be paid via DDA (Authorized Direct Debit), informs Febraban.
