Bar Original celebrates 28 years with pastel festival and guest chefs

One of the most traditional addresses in Moema, Bar Original celebrates 28 years of success . To celebrate, the house will promote throughout the month of August a festival dedicated to pastel an item that every self-respecting bar in São Paulo offers on its menu.

O festival launch event will be on Monday the 5th where five special versions of the delicacy, all created by chefs from other renowned bohemian destinations in the city, will be available and sold for R$32 (portion with two units). After the 5th, each day of the week will have only one version available.

TanTin's Cheese and Kale Pie

On Mondays, the recipe created by the chefs comes into play Julia Tricate and Gabriel Coelho from the De Primeira bar which combines octopus, corn and sausage. Marco Aurelio Sena, from Tantin signs the cheese and cabbage pie, a suggestion for Tuesdays. On Wednesday there is the version of Lobozó by chefs Gustavo Rodrigues and Marcelo Corrêa Bastos, made with roasted okra, goat cheese and peanuts, and on Thursday it’s the turn of the Comté cheese, onion and sherry vinegar pastry made by the chef Lucas Dante from Cepa. To close the week, on Fridays the chef Fellipe Zanuto, from the Hospedaria restaurant proposes a classic pizza pie.

As a companion to the fried food, in addition to the infallible creamy, high-necked draft beer, every day of the festival there will be sugarcane juice caipirinha (R$34).

The Original Bar was the pioneering address of what is now a giant Cia. Tradicional de Comércio – owners of establishments such as Pirajá, Bráz, Lanchonete de Cidade and ICI Brasserie -, the location still houses on the upper floor the Câmara Fria, the first speakeasy in São Paulo specializing in draft beers and craft beers.
