Barbara Paz and Willem Dafoe join another project; Meet “Cuddle”

The Brazilian actress and filmmaker Barbara Paz will direct the veteran of Hollywood Willem Dafoe in your new movie, titled “Cuddle” .

In the plot, Dante, a affectionate professional who offers platonic comfort to strangers who want connection. Its customers range from overloaded to emotionally fragile, people who seek human touch in a world where affection has become rare and transactional.

Behind his calm outdoor, Dante fights an analgesic habit and a lonely existence, softened only by his dog’s quiet company, but when a surprising encounter disturbs his routine, he opens the door to a kind of fragile and unexpected intimacy.

“Our Cuddle is born to embrace everyone. As a reflection of our contemporary world,” wrote the Brazilian in a publication on social networks.

This is the second time the two artists have worked together. Previously, Dafoe entered as a producer joined in the documentary “Babenco – Someone has to hear the heart and say: stopped“ (2019), directed by the Brazilian. Besides having contracted in “My Hindu Friend” (2016), by Hector Babenco.

“Cuddle” will be produced by Conspiração Filmes, responsible for titles such as “The Invisible Woman”, “Dom” and “I’m still here”.
