welcome to Barbielanda sugary and sizzling land of pastel colors that will allow us to explore the world of Barbie in the heart of summer, when the highly anticipated film by Greta Gerwig will finally arrive in theaters after almost two years in the making. And so, just to pique our curiosity, here comes the second teaser of this film that some have hastened to define a masterpiece and others rubbish before even having the pleasure of sitting in the armchair and seeing it. If until not long ago the plot was still shrouded in mystery, today we discover some more details, such as that the film will be a long reflection on the theme of perfection and acceptability.
From the trailer we discover, in fact, that the Barbie played by Margot Robbie she is kicked out of Barbieland because she isn’t perfect enough. At that point she decides to travel and experience an adventure in another world, the real one, escorted by Ken played by Ryan Gosling, complete with fluorescent yellow skates. To enrich the cast will be, among others, too Emma Mackey Of Sex EducationAmerica Ferrara by Ugly BettyWill Ferrell Academy Award winner Helen Mirrenthe protagonist of Bridgerton Nicola Coughlan and, in her film debut, the pop star Dua Lipa.
The terror that the operation at the cinema was a single big commercial by Mattel, the historic Barbie brand, seems however averted by the presence of both Greta Gerwig and Noah Baumbach, who co-wrote the film with her. The fact that he blatantly quoted 2001: A Space Odyssey by Kubrick, with little girls instead of monkeys, dolls instead of bones, and a giant Barbie instead of the monolith, confirms in the very first trailer that we are getting serious: at this point we just have to wait for the July 20th, when the film will arrive in Italy a day before it hits American theaters. With the hope of a visit to the Cannes Film Festival.
