Barbra Streisand, 82 became involved in a controversy this Tuesday (30) when he questioned, on social media, whether the actress Melissa McCarthy, 53 , took Ozempic during his weight loss process. The singer deleted the post shortly afterwards, but was unable to avoid the climate.
It all started with a post by McCarthy, where she appears alongside the filmmaker Adam Shankman at an event honoring choreographer Matthew Bourne. Much thinner than she was in her films, the actress was highly praised by her followers, while Streisand responded to the question.
“My congratulations to him [ao homenageado da noite]. Did you take Ozempic?” commented the singer, referring to the favorite weight loss medicine of current times. She deleted the post then, but the criticism continued due to the very personal question.
McCarthy was even questioned about the “tight skirt” by the website TMZ, but declined to discuss it. Streisand, on the other hand, explained himself in his stories.
“My God. I went on Instagram to see the photos I posted of the beautiful flowers I received for my birthday! Below was a photo of my friend Melissa McCarthy, who I sang with on the 'Encore' album. She looked fantastic! I just wanted to give a compliment O. I forgot the world is reading!,” she stated.
