This morning he was playing near his home in Locorotondo, in the province of Bari, when he disappeared. Domenico Gallo, a child who will turn two next month, lives in a rural area of the municipality. Around 11am, the mother noticed her disappearance and raised the alarm.
At the time of his disappearance, Domenico was wearing a grey T-shirt, blue checked shorts and a pair of blue Adidas shoes. Firefighters, local police officers and the Carabinieri are combing the area also with the help of a drone and with the dog unit, and are waiting for the arrival of the molecular dogs to further investigate the child.
“We inform you with great concern that a child has been missing for about three hours,” we read on the Facebook page of the Municipality. “Despite the immediate intervention and the incessant searches of the Fire Brigade and the Carabinieri, the municipal police, the man two thousand and citizen volunteers, the child has not yet been found. We invite all citizens to remain calm and actively collaborate with law enforcement. If anyone has seen or has any useful information about the missing child, please contact the Carabinieri or the police immediately. Your cooperation is essential for the rapid recovery of the child.
