Baronovsky: Parliamentary amendments are a Brazilian legal and political tradition

In the frame Freedom of Opinion this Friday (5), commentator Ricardo Baronovsky analyzed the votes of the PDT, which were decisive for the approval of the text of the PEC of Precatório in the first round in the Chamber of Deputies.

“It was a total surprise, as there was a split in the party, precisely that of the opposition. And as a professor of constitutional law, I view this scenario with great concern. As much as it is denied, the information, which is very accurate, coming from some parliamentarians, about the amendments [são verdadeiras]. These amendments are money, political negotiations. This is not the fault of the president or these parliamentarians of today. This is a Brazilian legal and political tradition of leaving the primary public interest in the background, and what prevails is the secondary public interest”, said Baronovsky.

Freedom of Opinion had the participation of Fernando Molica and Ricardo Baronovsky. The picture airs daily on CNN.
