Barry Keoghan an Irish actor who starred in “Saltburn” in 2023, will soon be joining the cast of the “Peaky Blinders” film that is expected to conclude the series’ plot. In an interview with the website “Collider” the actor revealed his first impressions of the film’s script.
“I don’t even know when I’m going to start filming,” the actor said. “I mean, I wouldn’t be as interested if I hadn’t read the script. But yeah, I’m really excited. The script is brilliant. I’m excited to be with Cillian (Murphy) and Rebecca (Ferguson).”
Despite being in the industry for over a decade, Keoghan rose to prominence in 2017 when he starred in “The Killing of the Sacred Deer” and “Dunkirk” . In the following years, he appeared on the big screen in “Eternals“ (2021), “The Batman“ (2022) and “The Bansheeis of Inisherin“ (2022).
In June, Netflix confirmed the production of the film with the return of this year’s Oscar winner: “Thomas Shelby is back. The cold and calculating troop can now celebrate. A ‘Peaky Blinders’ movie is officially in the works.”
