Barry Keoghan was impressed by his dancing in “Saltburn”

Barry Keoghan was not embarrassed by the scene in which he appears dancing without clothes at the end of “Saltburn “. In an interview with Vanity Fairthe Irish actor said he was inspired by his own life to perform his character's dance.

“I actually dance naked in my house,” Keoghan said. “Everybody does it, man. We all sing in the shower. We all do something silly when we are alone and feel free. It’s something that I can actually identify with.”

Keoghan also said he was happy with how the last scene of “Saltburn” turned out.

“I'm very impressed with the way I moved, I was like 'wow!'” he said. “At the end of the dance, I do two turns and, if you look at my feet, you'll see that the movement is because of boxing. The movement of the feet, the hips, that kind of thing.”

The actor added that the scene showed “maturity” in his performance and “justifies the story”. “You look at European cinema and they usually have nude scenes, but it's not that big of a thing, really,” he said. “But I think it’s real art. And even. And true vulnerability too. You are indeed exposing yourself in the most vulnerable way. It’s a beautiful way to look at it.”

“I’m not saying this because it’s my body,” he continued, “but it’s liberating to see a body move like that.” “It’s almost like a moving painting,” he concludes.

While Keoghan said he feels a little overwhelmed by the fame he gained after “Saltburn,” he celebrated the success of other Irish actors like Cillian Murphy, Andrew Scott and Paul Mescal.

“It’s cool to be in this group. You know, the Irish – when they're away [da Irlanda], they come together. There is a type of language and energy that makes us not even need to finish sentences to understand each other,” said Keoghan. “It’s a great group of guys, you know? It would be nice to put us all in one film, wouldn’t it?”
