Mechanic Maurício da Silva was on the beach with a group of friends last Sunday (2) in Recreio dos Bandeirantes, in Rio de Janeiro, when one of them decided to buy a popsicle to cool off.
It would be a normal situation in the face of the heat in the state capital. Were it not for an unusual detail: a cockroach was found on ice cream. He filmed the scene and published the video on his social networks. See below:
“A friend of mine bought the popsicle for his daughter. While she was sucking the product, she felt the insect, ”Mauricio told CNN . He then started recording the video.
According to Maurício, the popsicle was properly packed and was bought with a street vendor who sells the product in the region. “My intention with the video was not to harm anyone, but to make the population aware of buying things that can harm health,” he explained.
The consumer revealed that, after the publication of the video, no representative of the Sweet Factory Summer came to provide some clarification or support.
Factory was blocked
On Thursday (6), the Sweet Summer Factory, located in Belford Roxo, Baixada Fluminense, was closed after a survey by the Consumer Protection Secretariat and Procon-RJ.
THE CNN contacted representatives of the company, but got no return.
