Batman will be the first hero to receive a star on the Walk of Fame; find out the details

The character Batman will be the first superhero to win a star on the famous Walk of Fame . The information was revealed on the official social media of the iconic street in Los Angeles, United States, this Tuesday (17).

The unprecedented feat will be recorded in the Guinness World Records the famous book of records.

Batman’s star will be positioned next to the actor’s Adam West who played the character on television, and the hero’s co-creator, Bob Kane. The Walk of Fame profile reported that the star ceremony will take place in September 26th, 3pm (Brasília time). The event will be broadcast on its official website.

Confirmed to attend the event are DC President, Publisher and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee, Senior Vice President and General Manager Anne DePies and Official Guinness World Records Adjudicator Michael Empric.

An iconic pop culture character, Batman was created for the comic book company DC Comics. He first appeared in “Detective Comics #27” in 1939 and, since then, the Dark Knight has been a symbol of a legion of fans for over 85 years.

How does an artist get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame?

According to the official website, anyone, including a fan, can nominate a celebrity to receive the honor. However, the fan can only nominate the artist if the artist or his/her manager agrees with the nomination.
