For the first time, Activision showcased the real gameplay of the new first-person shooter Call of Duty: Vanguard, which will unfold on different fronts during the Second World War.

During Gamescom, they showed the mission “Stalingrad Summer” from the story campaign, and also introduced one of the four main characters of the game. When creating the image of Polina Petrova, lieutenant of the 138th rifle division of the Red Army, the developers were inspired by female snipers, in particular, Lyudmila Pavlichenko, who took part in the defense of Odessa and Sevastopol.
Initially, Polina Petrova was appointed a nurse, but when the enemy attacked Stalingrad, the girl, without hesitation, took up a rifle. The game tells about how her family, house and life were destroyed in front of the girl, which ultimately turned her into one of the deadliest snipers.
Call of Duty: Vanguard will be released on November 5, and a multiplayer beta test will start soon.
