Banco do Brasil announced this week a partnership with startup FieldPRO, a climate intelligence and data company, with the aim of offering the service to its rural producer customers.
The new partner’s solution includes equipment with 14 sensors that can be installed on the property by the producer himself and that allows collecting information on the climate, crops and soil, in an area of up to one thousand hectares. With this, the service informs you of the best times to sow, spray and harvest.
Information and notifications can be tracked by the user through a digital platform, available for both mobile and computer.
According to Banco do Brasil, the use of the service has the potential to increase, on average, 30% in productivity and 25% in the efficiency of plant growth. It can also reduce the need for replanting by 20%, the amount of irrigation by 30% and water consumption by 27%.
“With state-of-the-art technology and data intelligence, our producers will have accurate and timely information to produce more and better”, said the president of BB, Fausto Ribeiro.
The startup’s president, Ricardo Sodré, highlighted the concern to provide a service at an affordable cost to rural producers. “The main point when developing advanced technology is to make it accessible to customers, this was a great care we took,” he said.
