Davi Brito, 21, faced criticism on social media after speaking with Ana Maria Braga on ''Mais Você'', where he said he was “getting to know” Mani Reggo, whom he referred to as his “wife” on Big Brother Brasil 24.
Last Wednesday morning (17), the winner of the TV Globo reality show mentioned that he is “getting to know” Mani, with whom he has been with for a year and six months.
“We are dating, we are in the acquaintance period, we are getting to know each other. I think everything has a determined time”, said the Bahian about his relationship with the 42-year-old entrepreneur.
Davi's statement goes against previous mentions that he had made to his partner, whom he called his wife inside the house. Even after the controversial speech, Mani still identifies herself as Davi's wife in his Instagram profile biography.
Davi Brito was crowned winner of Big Brother Brasil 24 last Tuesday (16), with 60.52% of the votes.
Also reaching the final were Matteus from Rio Grande do Sul, who came in second place with 24.5%, and Isabelle from Amazonas, in third place, with 14.98%.
