BBC: Putin does not react well to ultimators-requested direct conversations for truce to break the US-European front

Russian President Vladimir Putin offered to hold direct talks with Ukraine in Istanbul on May 15, saying he did not exclude a truce agreement a few hours after the European leaders’ message on the future of war.
