The Central Bank informed that it will release next Tuesday (31) the fiscal statistics report with data for the month of April, amid the continuation of the strike by the employees of the monetary authority.
The document will be presented on the BC website at 9:30 am as scheduled on the autarchy’s agenda, followed by a virtual press conference by the head of the Statistics Department at 11 am.
The BC did not inform the forecast for the release of other statistics, such as the external sector and credit.
The agency’s press office explained that the Fiscal Responsibility Law requires the Executive to send a document to Congress by the end of May on the fulfillment of fiscal goals for the January-April quarter.
“Thus, this activity was defined as essential and is being carried out”, he said.
