BEA requests extension of the lump sum payment and increase of the repayment installments of the repayable

The extension of the deadline for the one-time repayment of the repayable advance with a 15% discount, but also the increase of the repayment installments of the repayable amount from 60 to 120 installments, requested in a letter to the Minister of Development and Investment ‘Adonis Georgiadis, Athens.

A statement from the chamber said that the minister, who attended the last meeting of the Board of Directors of BEA, listened to the concerns and requests of our members regarding the enormous difficulties they face in the daily operation of their businesses and promised that for most, find a solution.

With the letter to Mr. Georgiadis and in view of the expiration of the deadline (31/03/2022) of the possibility for the companies to choose the one-time repayment of the repayable amount with an additional 15% discount, or the repayment of the debt in 60 interest-free monthly installments, Starting from 30 June 2022, responding to requests and appeals from member companies, and in view of the immediate consequences of the war in Ukraine, the BEA requested:

• The extension of the deadline for the one-time repayment of the repayable advance with a 15% discount,

• The increase of the repayment installments of the repayable amount from 60 to 120 installments,

in order to reduce the monthly expenditure and stimulate the liquidity of companies and professionals, in the extremely difficult current economic situation.

The same letter points out that despite the size of the problem, the risk of the market collapsing in the near future, if the minimum protection net of the companies, which are the productive fabric of the country, is not secured with effective measures, is more than visible.
