Beatrice of York's pain over the death of her ex-boyfriend Paolo Liuzzo

Beatrice of York she is saddened by the death of her ex-boyfriend Paolo Liuzzo. This is what the tabloids report following the news of the disappearance of Liuzzo, 41, found dead in a hotel room in Miami, perhaps following an overdose, last February. The circumstances have yet to be fully ascertained. Officer Michael Vega of the Miami Police Department said, “He was being investigated as an overdose death.”

Paolo Liuzzo and Princess Beatrice dated for about a year from 2005 to 2006, when Beatrice of York was 17 and Liuzzo 24. A first love remained in the heart of the princess who today faces the pain of the passing of her ex-boyfriend, who according to some close people, was not going through a positive period. She had already fought to quit gambling and drugs, according to some of her friends. One of them told the Sun: «Paolo wasn't doing very well on a personal level. He had first started using many drugs, but then this led him to cocaine and harder drugs. He had a very hectic lifestyle and we all feared that sooner or later he would be overwhelmed.”

Paolo Liuzzo's death occurred on February 7th and the funeral was held on February 16th in New York, his city of origin. Princess Beatrice, who is now married to Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and together with him she became the mother of their first daughter Sienna Elizabeth in 2021, she never spoke about the disappearance of her ex-boyfriend in recent months but some people close to her, according to reports Sun have underlined his pain in recent days. “His heart is broken,” a friend reportedly told the tabloids. The relationship between Beatrice of York and Liuzzo had also ended due to Liuzzo's many problems, including the manslaughter charge of Jonathan R. Duchatellier, later reduced to assault and battery.
