One whistleblower reported that medical procedures at a military hospital were “usually” performed without painkillers, causing “unacceptable pain” to prisoners. Another informant claimed that painkillers were used “selectively” and “in a very limited way” during an invasive medical procedure on a Gazan detainee in a public hospital. He also said that seriously ill patients held in makeshift military facilities are deprived of proper treatment due to the reluctance of public hospitals to receive and treat them.
