United States President Donald Trump said the connection with Russia’s leader Putin was good and that he marks “the beginning of something good.”
“It was a very good connection. I think it’s the beginning of something good. The beginning really happened three or four weeks ago. You know, I talked to Putin about – this is not just a connection that started. We had other calls,” he said in an interview with Washington Examiner.
Kremlin said Putin agrees to pause the attacks against the Ukraine electric system, and the White House pointed out that Russia and the USA will discuss permanent peace.
Regarding advances in negotiations, the American leader called the possible break as “a great thing.”
The US President spoke earlier with Putin on February 12, in what he called a “long and highly productive” connection with the Russian President.
Trump suggested after today’s connection that a total ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine can happen.
