Beijing calls on the European Union to avoid ‘confrontation’

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Y. warned his European counterpart against the dangers of a “confrontation”, according to a statement from his ministry released today, while Beijing seeks to present it as a stable counterweight to Washington.
