Belgium: 33-year-old man killed his pregnant wife and her five-year-old child

Tragedy in the region of Flanders in Belgium. A 33-year-old man killed his 28-year-old pregnant wife and a five-year-old child in Thurmont.

The man appeared at the police station at 6.30 on Saturday morning confessing to his act, reports the rtl network. The authorities who rushed to the scene found two bodies in one of the rooms of the house, while a medical examiner was also found on the spot.

“We cannot yet talk about its causes of death. We can say that this is a pregnant woman and her five-year-old child,” Deputy Prosecutor Bernadette Bayens said.
At the same time, the head of the regional police noted that no details will be released until the investigation is complete. The perpetrator underwent blood tests to determine if he was under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

The couple was married and had been living in the apartment for 6 months. The television network notes that according to testimonies and as relayed by the Athens News Agency, there was no tension between the two spouses.
