Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sophie Wilmes has asked the country’s Ministry of Defense to draw up a list of weapons that Belgium could send to Ukraine.
Speaking to the Flemish-speaking VTM camera, Ms Vilmes told the Flemish Foreign Ministry that “we need to do more, also in the field of military equipment. This is my belief. We are exploring it at a key level”.
He added: “I do not know what weapons yet. We have asked the Ministry of Defense to tell us what is available and we hope to receive the results of this investigation as soon as possible. late”.
On Wednesday, the Belgian National Security Council decided to send military defense equipment to Ukraine but no weapons.
