In addition to suspending sales of live mammals, Global organizations are calling for better hygiene and cleanliness in traditional markets to reduce the chances of transmitting animal diseases to humans as well as infections between vendors and customers.

At the same time, they call for rules to be set for the control of the breeding and sale of wild animals intended for consumption.
