Bendable laptop without keyboard: Samsung’s upcoming novelty looks … unusual

The authoritative insider @UniverseIce from Twitter hinted that Samsung is preparing a foldable laptop called the Galaxy Book Fold 17. The informant did not say anything more about the new product, but much about it (or at least about its concept) is already known. The most obvious is the screen size, which is 17 inches.

In May 2021, the SID 2021 conference was held, at which Samsung showed the concept of its flexible laptop (in a demo video). Most likely, it was this prototype that became the basis for the upcoming Galaxy Book Fold 17, so the approximate design of the future novelty is already clear. The video shows that the laptop uses a sub-screen front camera – by the way, a module with this placement technology appeared in the Galaxy Z Fold 3 foldable smartphone, announced in mid-August.

It is also clear from the video that the laptop will be equipped with an OLED display. The approximate date of the announcement is unknown, but with a high degree of probability Samsung will present this new product in early 2022 at CES or MWC.
