Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called on Israelis to “stay united” and continue following frontline commands as fears of an imminent attack from Iran grow.
Earlier on Tuesday (1st), the United States warned that it believes Tehran is preparing to launch a ballistic missile attack against Israel.
In a statement, Netanyahu said Israel is in the midst of a “campaign against Iran’s axis of evil” and made specific demands of the Israeli public.
“What I ask of you are two things: one – strictly obey the directives of the frontline command, this saves lives. And the second – stay together,” Netanyahu said in a statement.
The Israeli army’s top spokesman, Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari, made a similar request to Israelis on Tuesday, asking the public to “continue acting responsibly.”
Hagari called on Israelis to “comply” with new guidelines issued by the Home Front Command on Tuesday, imposing restrictions on gatherings and protecting spaces in Jerusalem and other designated areas.
