Germany cannot supply Ukraine with new Patriot air defense systems as it is waiting for the traditions of these systems, German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius said today. Ukraine has repeatedly stressed that air defense systems such as Patriots are needed to defend itself against Russian missile attacks. However, Germany plans to supply more than 1,100 ground surveillance radar and additional IRIS-T anti-aircraft defense missile systems in Ukraine, Pistorius said. This is part of Germany’s medium -term and long -term planning to support Kiev in his defense against Russia, Pistorius told an international meeting to coordinate further military aid to Ukraine, at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
