The latest DC Studios film, “Blue Beetle”, starring Xolo Maridueña and Bruna Marquezine, hits digital platforms this Tuesday (26).
The production will be available for rent or purchase in digital HD on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Vudu and Google Play Movies & TV.

The DVD, Blue-Ray and 4K UHD release is scheduled for October. The film arrives in the collection of the HBO Max streaming service on October 24th.
Plot
Recently graduated, Jaime Reyes returns home full of expectations for the future, but soon discovers that his home is no longer the same.
As he tries to find his purpose in the world, fate intervenes and brings an ancient relic of alien biotechnology into his hands: a blue beetle.
The scarab chooses Jaime as its symbiotic host and his life changes forever. He gains armor that gives him extraordinary powers, becoming the Blue Beetle.
Cast
Xolo Maridueña, who became known for his role in “Cobra Kai” is the protagonist of “Blue Beetle” and brings young Jaime Reyes to life.
The veteran Susana Saradon (“Thelma and Louise” and “Side by Side”) and Raoul Trujillo (“Apocalypto”) are the villains of the plot.
Brazilian Bruna Marquezine, who makes her Hollywood debut, is one of the highlights of the cast. She is the antagonist’s niece and develops a great connection with Jaime.
Furthermore, George Lopez , Belissa Escobedo , Daminán Alcázar It is Adriana Barraza are also in the cast. The four are members of the protagonist’s family.
Latin superhero
Blue Beetle is DC Comics’ first Latino superhero. Under the direction of the Puerto Rican Angel Manuel Soto the film has scenes in English and Spanish, with much of the main cast being of Latin origin.
“The resilience of our people is represented in each of these characters, from the father to the mother, to the sister and when it comes to the uncle, for example, Uncle Rudy is 100% inspired by the screenwriter’s uncle [Gareth Dunnet- Alcocer]who passed away last year”, Soto tells “Reuters”.
